In 1822 the French astronomer Jean Baptiste Delambre died, known for his contribution on the measurement of the meridian of France, between Dunkirk and Formentera. The Delambre crater on the Moon is named after him, as is the asteroid 13962 Delambre.

Nel 1822 muore l’astronomo francese Jean Baptiste Delambre, noto per il suo contributo sulla misura del meridiano di Francia, tra Dunkerque e Formentera. Il cratere Delambre sulla Luna porta il suo nome, come pure l’asteroide 13962 Delambre.
