In 1852 the first motorized airship (see image) (3 HP inflated with hydrogen) was shown to the public, created by Henri Giffard and used for a 27 km journey from Paris to Trappes, France.

Geoffrey R. Burbidge was born in 1925, known for having published together with other astronomers including the English astronomer Fred Hoyle, and the American physicist William Fowler, the famous article on stellar nucleosynthesis, Synthesis of the Elements in Stars, which became famous with an acronym composed of the initials of its authors, B²FH. According to Burbidge, the universe is oscillating, expanding and contracting alternately endlessly. This theory, given its controversial nature, has brought him some fame, but also attracted criticism.

In 2010 the 72nd flyby of the Titan satellite (T-72) by the Cassini probe took place. After numerous overflights, NASA scientists have compiled a map of the northern hemisphere highlighting (in blue) the seas and lakes of liquid methane (see image).

In 2023, the samples collected by the OSIRIS-REx probe on 20 October 2020 from the asteroid Bennu returned on Earth at 4.52pm (see Nasa images). Next analysis will allow an important study on asteroids and the evolution of the solar system.
