In 1976 NASA releases this image of the Martian crater “ARANDAS” from the Viking 1 probe as it searches for a landing site for the second Viking 2 Martian probe.

Nel 1976 la NASA rilascia questa immagine del cratere marziano “ARANDAS” dalla sonda Viking 1 mentre cerca un sito di atterraggio per la seconda sonda marziana Viking 2.

In 1975 the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project returned to Earth (see previous bulletins of July 15 e July 17 and representative image) which saw the meeting between the astronauts Donald K. “Deke” Slayton, Thomas P. Stafford, Vance D. Brand and the Soviet cosmonauts Aleksey A. Leonov and Valeriy Kubasov.
