In 1859 Kirchhoff and Bunsen performed the first measurement of spectral lines, modern spectroscopy was born. The elements rubidium, thallium, cesium and helium were then identified.

Chabibullo Ismailovič Abdusamatov was born in 1940, a Russian astrophysicist, director of the Space Research Laboratory at the Pulkovo Observatory in St. Petersburg and responsible for the Russian-Ukrainian project called Astrometry for the Russian segment of the International Space Station. He has held two patents for scientific inventions and is the author of over 160 academic publications, in which he presented his discoveries on the behavior of the Sun and the resulting climate influence. He is known for having rejected the theses of the majority of scientists on global warming, caused according to him by a very high level of solar radiation, coinciding with the appearance and cyclical increase of spots on the surface of the Sun.

Nel 1940 nasce Chabibullo Ismailovič Abdusamatov, un astrofisico russo, direttore del Laboratorio di Ricerca Spaziale presso l’Osservatorio di Pulkovo di San Pietroburgo e responsabile del progetto russo-ucraino denominato Astrometria per il segmento russo della Stazione Spaziale Internazionale. Ha conseguito due brevetti per invenzioni scientifiche ed è autore di oltre 160 pubblicazioni accademiche, in cui ha presentato le sue scoperte sul comportamento del Sole e il conseguente influsso climatico. È noto per aver respinto le tesi della maggioranza degli scienziati sul riscaldamento globale, causato secondo lui da un livello molto alto di radiazione solare, coincidente con la comparsa e l’aumento ciclico delle macchie sulla superficie del Sole. 

Terry Jonathan Hart, an American astronaut who participated in the Space Shuttle mission STS-41-C, was born in 1946; 7 years later, in 1953, Michael Baker was born, a former US astronaut, who participated in the following missions: STS-43, STS-52, STS-68, STS-81.

Nel 1946 nasce Terry Jonathan Hart, un astronauta statunitense che ha partecipato alla missione STS-41-C dello Space Shuttle; 7 anni più tardi, nel 1953, nasce Michael Baker un ex astronauta statunitense, che ha partecipato alle seguenti missioni: STS-43, STS-52, STS-68, STS-81.

In 1961, NASA launched the first Saturn I rocket of the Apollo program. Ten Saturn Is were flown before this model was replaced by the Saturn IB which included a more powerful second stage. These launches were used primarily to test the missile’s first stage.

Nel 1961 la NASA lancia il primo razzo Saturn I del Programma Apollo. Furono fatti volare 10 Saturn I prima che questo modello fosse rimpiazzato dal Saturn IB che includeva un secondo stadio più potente. Questi lanci furono usati soprattutto per testare il primo stadio del missile.
