The English astronomer, physicist and mathematician Edmond Halley was born in 1656. In 1705 he published Astronomiae cometicae synopsis, explaining his belief that the cometary sightings of 1456, 1531, 1607 and 1682 were related to the same comet, and predicted its return in 1758. When this happened, it became known as Halley’s Comet.

Nel 1656 nasce l’astronomo, fisico e matematico inglese Edmond Halley, il quale nel 1705 pubblicò Astronomiae cometicae synopsis esponendo il suo convincimento che gli avvistamenti cometari del 1456, 1531 1607 e 1682 erano relativi alla stessa cometa, e ne predisse il ritorno nel 1758. Quando ciò accadde, divenne nota come la Cometa di Halley.

In 1801 the astronomer William Herschel discovered NGC 3077 (see photo @Hubble) a small disrupted elliptical galaxy, a member of the M81 group, located in the northern constellation of Ursa Major and also discovered NGC 2976 (see photo @Hubble) galaxy dwarf in the northern circumpolar constellation of Ursa Major of which the description of the time is reported: “bright, very large, very extended 152°, star involved”.

Nel 1801 l’astronomo William Herschel scopre NGC 3077 (vedi foto @Hubble) una piccola galassia ellittica disgregata, un membro del gruppo M81, che si trova nella costellazione settentrionale dell’Orsa Maggiore e scopre anche NGC 2976 (vedi foto @Hubble) galassia nana nella costellazione circumpolare settentrionale dell’Orsa Maggiore di cui si riporta la descrizione dell’epoca: “luminosa, molto grande, molto estesa 152 °, stella coinvolta”.

In 2016, launch of the Chinese Yaogan-28 satellite using a Long March-4B carrier rocket, used for earth observation and scientific experiments (but military purposes are not excluded).

Nel 2016 avviene il lancio del satellite cinese Yaogan-28 utilizzando un razzo vettore Long March-4B, utilizzato per l’osservazione della Terra e per esperimenti scientifici (ma non sono esclusi scopi militari).
