Giuliano Romano was born in 1923 (see photo), Italian astronomer and scientific communicator, pioneer of archaeoastronomy.

In 1965 – Venera program: the Soviet Union launches Venera 3 (see photo) a space probe headed towards Venus, the first to reach the surface of another planet.

In 1973 Skylab program (see photo) NASA launches Skylab 4 with a crew of three astronauts for an 84-day mission. Skylab 4 (SL-4) was the third and final crew of the United States of America space station Skylab

In 1974, a message was transmitted from the radio antenna of the radio telescope in Arecibo (Puerto Rico) with a diameter of 305 meters to a cluster of stars 25,000 light years away from us (Messier 13). For the first time in history, a message translated into electrical impulses according to binary code is transmitted in a series of 1679 signals with the aim of contacting any extraterrestrial civilizations (see image). The structure and content of the message were created by Frank Drake and Carl Sagan.

Nel 1974 verso un ammasso di stelle distante 25.000 anni luce da noi (Messier 13) viene trasmesso un messaggio dalla radio-antenna del radiotelescopio di Arecibo (Puerto Rico) dal diametro di 305 metri. Per la prima volta nella storia viene trasmesso un messaggio tradotto in impulsi elettrici secondo il codice binario in una serie di 1679 segnali avente lo scopo di contattare eventuali civiltà extraterrestri (vedi immagine). The long-awaited launch of  Artemis I, SLS with the Orion capsule towards the Moon takes place in 2022! Diana for the Romans, Artume for the Etruscans and Artemis for the Greeks is the divinity of the hunt armed with bow and arrows: at 7.47 (Italian time) the first arrow (Artemis 1) was shot for the new hunt for the Moon. The project is wide-ranging; circumnavigating the moon to collect new information so that man can once again set foot on our satellite (despite the deniers) is only the first step. The second will be to build a structure such as has so far only been imagined by science fiction to then use it as a base for (re)launching towards the conquest of the red planet. Just as over 50 years ago there were those who were able to get excited about the Apollo project until seeing the first astronaut land on the moon, in the same way, we are thrilled to know that today a journey towards Mars has begun which we hope to be able to see complete. Nel 2022 avviene il tanto atteso lancio di  Artemis I, SLS con la capsula Orion in direzione Luna! Diana per i romani, Artume per gli etruschi ed Artemide per i greci è la divinità della caccia armata di arco e frecce: alle 7.47 (ora italiana) è stata scagliata la prima freccia (Artemis 1) per la nuova caccia alla Luna Il progetto è di ampio respiro; circumnavigare la luna per raccogliere nuova informazioni affinché l’uomo posi nuovamente (a dispetto dei negazionisti) il piede sul nostro satellite è solo il primo passo. Il secondo sarà costruire una struttura come sinora è stata solamente immaginata dalla fantascienza per usarla poi come base di (ri)lancio verso la conquista del pianeta rosso.Così come oltre 50 anni fa c’è chi ha potuto emozionarsi per il progetto Apollo sino a vedere allunare il primo astronauta, allo stesso modo, ci emoziona sapere che oggi è iniziato un percorso verso Marte di cui speriamo di poter vedere il compimento. In copertina il logo della mission @Nasa credits.
