The historic journey back to the Moon has officially begun. On April 1st, 2026, at 6:35 p.m. EDT (00:35 CEST on April 2nd), the SLS rocket ignited the night sky at Kennedy Space Center, Pad 39B. The Orion spacecraft, named Integrity, is now in orbit with its crew: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen. This is the first crewed mission toward the Moon in over 50 years. The crew is currently performing checkout of the life support systems in High Earth Orbit before the Trans-Lunar Injection burn
